People often ask me if I’m nervous when I photograph.

The answer is rarely. I come well prepared, I’ve got years and years of experience.

But getting up to photograph yesterday’s couple I felt nervous.

We got up before the break of dawn, tried to eat some breakfast (not very successfully), drove ten minutes.

Arianna and Fabrizio changed into their wedding outfits and then we did the craziest thing.

We stepped in a helicopter that would fly us over the Dolomites, to a place you couldn’t possibly reach in any other way.

The views were INSANE. Sitting in the helicopter the sky literally exploded before our eyes. I think I screamed a record amount of WTFs per minute.

Thanks Arianna and Fabrizio for joining me on this out of this world adventure. Nothing like a Wednesday morning endorphin high.

Can’t wait for my next helicopter elopement. Until I become a helicopter pilot, I’ve got the best job in the world.

Adventure can mean different things to different people.

My fellow outdoor enthusiasts love a good hike, never say no to exploring volcanoes, fancy a (way too cold) swim in the ocean.

Others might prefer doing an epic roadtrip, dancing under the Milky Way and/or eating pizza/drinking wine while the sun goes down.

When planning your adventure wedding or elopement, forget about what other people tell you to do. Do what makes you happy. As long as it feels like you, it’s going to be an experience you’ll remember forever.
