5 days until ‘automatic reply: out of office’!

Heading to #Scotland for the very first time to meet up with friends we met during our trip through #Patagonia, to disappear from civilization for a couple of days while hiking in the middle of nowhere ànd to attend the wedding of my sweet and beautiful friend Laura @september___bridal (yes, Gregor, you’re sweet and beautiful too).

I’ll be leaving my computer (and the gigabytes of unedited photos) at home so we can all enjoy some well-deserved time off. I’ll be back behind my desk by September 12. In the meantime I’ll have very limited access to my mailbox, but I’ll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible!

See that umbrella? Most Belgian wedding vendors or newly wed couples may find this hard to believe, but umbrellas can also be used to protect you from the sun. Crazy, right?

On a more serious note: if you’re getting married, try not to worry too much about weather forecasts on your wedding day. I know it’s easier said than done, but there isn’t anything you can do to prevent it. So you might as well keep calm, carry on and still have the best day ever - whatever the weather throws at you. And although it might not be the weather that you were hoping for, the reality is that it rarely rains non-stop all day. Embrace it, enjoy it, keep smiling and just know your photographer secretly loves spectacular cloudy skies and the soft light that comes with it. 😁
